Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

Information you give us directly: your name, email address, phone number, and payment information (processed by our payment processor, Stripe - we do not store your full card number) when you create an account, buy a ticket, or load Bar Plug credits.

Information generated by your use of the Service: order history, ticket purchases, event check-in/attendance records, Bar Plug balance and spend activity, and communications you send us.

Information collected automatically: device and usage data (browser type, IP address, pages viewed, referral source) when you use our website or app.

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13, and several of our events are age-restricted (18+/21+); the Service is not directed at children.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to: process ticket and Bar Plug purchases; deliver your tickets, QR codes, and order confirmations; verify your identity at the door; operate the Bar Plug cashless wallet; provide customer support; detect and prevent fraud; comply with legal obligations; and improve the Service.

3. When we share your information

We share information in the following circumstances:

With the event organizer, venue, or promoter for the event you're attending. This includes your order details (name, ticket type, purchase date) and attendance/check-in data, so the organizer can run their event, verify entry, and understand how their event performed. Organizers may also receive aggregated, de-identified analyticsabout their audience (for example, age-range or spending-pattern breakdowns that don't identify you individually) as part of the reporting tools we provide them.

We do not give event organizers your individual contact information for their own marketing purposes unless you've separately opted in to that at checkout. That opt-in is optional, separate from your ticket purchase, and can be withdrawn at any time (see Section 6).

With service providers who help us run the Service, including our payment processor (Stripe), email delivery provider (Resend), and cloud hosting/database provider (Supabase). These providers are contractually restricted to using your information only to provide services to us.

For legal reasons, if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of DLW, our users, or the public.

In a business transfer,if we're involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy or a policy at least as protective.

We do not sell your personal information to data brokers or unrelated third parties, and we do not share it with event organizers or vendors in exchange for money.

4. Your privacy rights

If you are a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, or other covered-state resident,applicable state privacy law may give you the right to: know what personal information we've collected about you; access or obtain a copy of it; correct inaccurate information; delete your information; and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information (including certain data-sharing arrangements with event organizers described in Section 3, out of caution, even though we don't sell data for money).

To exercise any of these rights, or to opt out of sharing, contact us at legal@ticketingplug.comor use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the site footer. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

New York residents: New York does not currently have a comprehensive consumer privacy law, but we apply the rights above to all U.S. users as a matter of practice, not just where legally required.

5. Data security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, consistent with New York's Stop Hacks and Improve Electronic Data Security ("SHIELD") Act. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we experience a security breach affecting your information, we will notify you as required by law.

When we share information with event organizers under Section 3, we require them to handle it responsibly and to notify us of any security incident involving that data.

6. Your choices

You can update your account information, opt out of marketing emails/texts (including from event organizers, if you previously opted in) via the unsubscribe link in any marketing message or by contacting us, and request deletion of your account by contacting legal@ticketingplug.com. Some information may be retained as required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes even after account deletion.

7. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

8. Retention

We retain your information for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations (including tax and consumer-protection recordkeeping requirements), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date, and for material changes, we'll provide additional notice (such as an email or an in-app notice).
